Report on Conservation and Biodiversity Measures in Henoko-Oura Bay, Okinawa (Japan)

The Okinawa Prefectural Government recently released this summary report on the symposium on Henoko-Oura Bay, in Okinawa Japan, organized by the Nature Conservation Society of Japan.

It was sent to us and I thought that it might be of particular interest to those in this group. It specifically discusses biodiversity in the bay, endemic and rare species, threats to specific areas, immidiate impacts of construction work on the environment, coral reefs and their place in the community.

The point of contact is: Henoko Base Construction Countermeasures Division, Executive Office of the Governor: [email protected]
