Hi Wildlabs friends! Here in Panama with the Smithsonian and many others, we have an incredible biodiversity hotspot along an old canal road called "Pipeline Road" or "Oleoducto." Scientists have been studying the area for over 100 years, and it's used for public access and education as well! I've also been told it holds the record for most species of birds spotted in 24 hours!

Problem is that due to lots of bureaucracy tangles + abandonment during the Pandemic, it's getting swallowed back up by the jungle. We are a rogue group of volunteers who have been maintaining basic access to it for the past 2 years, but now the old wooden bridges need to get replaced to make them safe for people to cross.
