Are you interested in the intersections of technology design, citizen science, and artificial intelligence?

Much of the biodiversity data used in the annual LifeCLEF artificial intelligence/machine learning competitions are derived from citizen science initiatives. Given this, I was delighted when asked to help kick off the LifeCLEF 2021 workshop with a talk on Thursday, Sep 23rd. My presentation will focus on technology design needs to make sense of media captured from nature, such as images and audio recordings. 

The entire  CLEF 2021 conference is free to attend, including the LifeCLEF workshop. You just need to register for the conference to attend any part of it.
