A case study in canine detection of giant bullfrog scent

"When presented with the challenge of detecting P. adspersus scent amid other amphibian scents (species identification test), including A. delalandii, S. pusilla and X. laevis, specificity for P. adspersus was 99% regardless of whether diluted frog scent or live frogs were used as negative targets/disturbances. The scent detection dog indicated 148 times, of which 146 correctly, out of a possible 200 positive targets (P. adspersus scent) for the two treatments combined."
