Hello all!
I'm about to start a pilot project in Namibia using E-Shepherd Collars to hopefully prevent livestock losses from coursing predators such as African Wild Dogs.
An E-Shepherd Collar is a collar that is placed around the neck of a goat/sheep/calf (usually in a ratio of 1 collar to 10 animals in a herd) that has an accelerometer in it. When the animals are chased, the collar emits a high-frequency alarm that is intended to deter the predator.
I'd love to hear from anyone who is using this or a similar tool and can speak to their efficacy in different scenarios.

There has been some discussion about e-shepard over in the 'Foxlights Predator Deterrent' discussion, including some members who I believe were looking into trialling it in Namibia as well. The participants in that thread might be able to answer some of your questions and no doubt would be interested to hear back about any results from your trials.

I like to learn more about this collar. Can you send me some detailed information about it? I like to investigate if it can be an extended sulution to combine this collar with our prowild technology.

I am aware that such a collar has been tested in France to protect sheeps fromm wolves' attacks. I am also looking for some information about it to possibly test it out for jaguars and pumas in South America. It could be relevant to exchange about our respective experience about it.
