we have used considerable numbers (123) of the 9.5 and 12g tags due to their amazing reliability. We continue to deploy each year for the time being.
This project is heavily scrutinised so the excellent engineering of the tags mean that we are cautious to try anything else. Reliability proven to be >95% and I still have a bird tagged (Bryony) from 2015 transmitting whilst reviewing in Oct 2023.
