Hey Wildlabbers!
I'm starting to scope out an exciting mystery project (that you can probably make a decent educated guess about based on this thread's title) and I'd like to take the pulse on how folks in the conservation tech community use podcasts to get information.
Do you have any conservation or tech-related podcasts that you're a fan of?
If so! Please plug your recommendations here, and let us know how and when you listen to them as well - on your way to work? while traveling? at home while relaxing? on a preferred platform?
Thanks, looking forward to finding out what you're all listening to!

We do talk all the time so this cannot be new, but any chance I have to spruik my favourite pod...
Their ongoing commentary on chatgpt has been interesting to track, and I find hearing about different funding/business models really useful in the context of wildlabs and other operations in our world. Highly recommend.

This one @Lars_Holst_Hansen shared might be worth having a look at @ellie?
Monique - the space Elk(s) | WILDLABS
I have enjoyed the recent podcast on Monique the first animal(s) to carry a satellite collar, the ICARUS project etc. AirSpace Season 7, Ep. 7: Satellite Hart Thanks to GPS, ecologists today can track thousands of animals all the time with tracking devices that can be smaller than a quarter. But in 1970 there was just a weather satellite, a 23 pound collar, and an elk named Monique. On this episode of AirSpace, we talk to some of the scientists who use space to track animals here on Earth. airandspace Also, regarding Monique there is this interesting blogpost A Space Elk Named Monique This post originally appeared on April 15, 2020. I’m republishing it today because 1) I’m deep into editing a book that includes a chapter on Wyoming’s mammal migrations, so mobile elk are top of mind; and 2) bands of elk have begun wandering through the fields near my house in Colorado. I’m not sure where they’re coming from, or where they’re headed, but it’s clearly the season for ungulate movement. If only one of them were satellite-collared… The Last Word On Nothing and here is some documentation from the original researchers describing the Monique project:https://ntrs.nasa.gov/api/citations/19720017418/downloads/19720017418.pdf

I like the MongaBay podcast and feel like it has a good balance of polish and grassroots grit. They have interesting speakers, usually involved in conservation and sometimes involved in conservation technology. For the podcasts I listen to, I generally enjoy the guest speaker/interview format because I feel like it provides a lot of new insight and fresh points of view.
As for listening times, it's generally when I'm doing physical work like cleaning, working in the garden, or soldering/assembling boards. I use Google Podcasts at the moment, but it looks like it might be terminated soon.
