We warmly invite you to this interactive session led by Unearthodox's Digital Disruption and the Future of Conservation project team.

The session will distil key takeaways from the team's two-year foray into digital technologies; the opportunities, risks and possibilities for conservationists.

We will ask:

  • How can disruptive digital tools impact inclusivity and what can we do to minimise the risks within our conservation efforts?
  • What mindset and culture do we need to accelerate the assimilation and effective utilisation of transformative innovations?
  • How can conservation organisations reflect on their positionality and operationalise a digital strategy within a rapidly developing digital landscape?

You will hear from our Digital Disruption and Future of Conservation project team,

Sasha Sebright: Project Lead (Consultant) - Digital Disruption and the Future of Conservation. Sasha is passionate about exploring the systemic impacts of Web 3.0 on and for conservation.

Gal Zanir: Digital Innovation (Consultant) - Digital Disruption and the Future of Conservation project and Land Conservation Manager for TiME - This-is-My-Earth, a Wildlife Biologist and Conservation Innovator. Gal is the lead author of the Digital Disruption for Conservation Toolkit

Uta Muktamarianti: Research and Event Support - Digital Disruption and the Future of Conservation project. Uta is actively researching Web 3.0 and inclusivity and is interested in digital communities for conservation.

The team will also be joined by two trailblazers:

Jorn Dallinga : Programme Manager WWF Netherlands. At WWF-NL Jorn's Focus is on spatial data, spatial analysis, big data, citizen science and exploring solutions for conservation using machine learning with technical partners.

Alice Kershaw : Head of Digital Transformation The Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts (RSWT). Alice specializes in change, transformation and creating a digital culture that benefits all users. She is leading the ‘root and branch digital transformation’ elements of RSWTs 2030 strategy.
