Analysis Methods for Localization with Networks of Fixed Radio Receivers

Hello WILDLABS Community!

I work on the development of the hardware for networks of fixed radio receivers that are used to detect transmissions from animal-borne radio tags.  By comparing the relative received signal strength of a transmission across multiple receivers it is possible to determine the location of the radio tag (and therefore the animal wearing it) at the time of the transmission.

Recently I've been getting more involved in the analysis of data from these large fixed radio receiver networks and I've started developing my own algorithms for determining the accurate positions of radio tags within the networks.  I'm really curious if anyone else in the community has worked on this type of data analysis in the past or is actively developing their own methods?  I'd be really interested to hear what has worked well (or didn't work) for others. Also, If anyone can share any relevant publications on the topic I'd appreciate it!

Looking forward to hearing from other members of the community about this topic!  Thanks!
